Across the 90 Volvo model series in the oil finder, 5W-30, 15W-40, 10W-40 and 10W-30 are the most commonly approved grades.
Volvo mostly calls for the approvals Volvo VDS-4.5, Volvo VDS-3, Volvo CNG and Volvo VDS. An oil without the right approval can cost you a warranty claim.
