Motorsport Oil
In motorsport the lubricant works at its limit: oil temperatures beyond 130 °C, engine speeds above the production design point and lateral loads that pull the sump dry. A motorsport oil has to hold its lubricating film exactly where the film of a road oil tears.
KASOIL supplies engine oil and gear oil for racing, track days, hillclimbs, rally and historic motorsport - from low-viscosity 0W-16 for friction reduction to 10W-60 for heavily loaded naturally aspirated and turbo engines. Pick the viscosity your engine builder or your regulations specify.
Motorsport viscosities
Every viscosity links straight to the matching oils in the catalogue. When in doubt, follow the engine manufacturer or your engine builder, not the lowest viscosity available.

Classic racing and pre-war engines, unsynchronised gearboxes and many vintage regulations call for monograde oils. We source SAE 30 to SAE 70 on request - the search shows current stock.
Gear oil in motorsport
The gearbox is often the first component to give up on track. Dog boxes, limited-slip differentials and rear axles see contact pressures a production gear oil was never built for: a motorsport gear oil needs high shear stability so the viscosity does not collapse over a run, plus an EP additive package that carries the tooth flanks under load spikes.
Our gear oil range covers racing and sport gear oils from 75W-80 to 85W-90 for manual gearboxes, differentials and rear axles, plus ATF for automatic and dual-clutch transmissions. With limited-slip diffs and yellow-metal synchro rings the approval decides, not the viscosity alone.

Motul and Castrol are the racing classics - both stand for the high-viscosity grades 10W-60 and 15W-50 that heavily loaded naturally aspirated engines are run on. Shell and Mobil bring the ester and PAO base oils that modern 0W-40 and 5W-40 turbo oils are built on, and Petronas stands, via Formula 1, for the Mercedes-Benz approvals.
Total comes out of rally and endurance racing, Liqui Moly is widespread in motorcycle and touring car racing, and Wolf and Mannol are the affordable choice for track days in 5W-30 to 20W-50. Lukoil also covers the historic end: SAE monogrades plus gear oils in 75W-90 and 80W-90 for the differential and rear axle. Which brand actually has which viscosity in stock is shown by the filter above.

We source racing oils and gear oils beyond our stock range - for teams and workshops in drum sizes too.
