Which motor oil brand is the right one?

Technically the oil brand comes second: if the approval matches, the oil is suitable, and a cheaper product with the right approval always beats a dearer one without it. Brands differ in reserves under extreme load, in available pack sizes, and in the approvals themselves - not every brand has every product tested for every manufacturer. If you do not know which approval your engine needs, start from the oil finder rather than the brand.
