Engine oil in 208 litre drums for workshops, fleets and agriculture
The classic oil drum. Depending on the manufacturer it is filled as 205, 208 or 209 litres and is usually just called a 200 litre drum; it is always the same container.
For the oil that covers most of your changes, the 208 litre drum is almost always the cheapest per litre. The sums work if the usage is there: 208 litres is around 40 passenger-car oil changes. In return you need a floor space with a spill pallet and a drum pump. If an oil does not move at that rate for you, the 60 litre drum is the sensible choice.

Ships by freight forwarder
Drums are freight. A 60 litre drum weighs around 54 kg and a 208 litre drum around 187 kg, both well past the 31.5 kg parcel limit, so delivery to a parcel locker or pickup point is not possible.
The forwarder calls you to agree a delivery slot. Please give a number you can be reached on during the day: without one the consignment goes out unannounced, and a pallet that finds nobody home costs a second delivery run.
Delivery is kerbside. Tell us in advance if you have neither a loading ramp nor a pallet truck, so we can arrange a tail lift. Within Germany delivery is free from 59 EUR, drums included.
Used oil and empty containers
We take back the quantity of engine and gear oil you bought from us as used oil, free of charge, including oil filters and the oil-contaminated waste that comes with an oil change. This is not a courtesy but every seller's duty under section 8 of the German Used Oil Ordinance.
As a business you will normally dispose of used oil through your licensed waste contractor. Empty steel drums are one-way containers and become your property; we charge no deposit on them. Please hand used oil over unmixed: brake fluid, coolant or solvents mixed in make reprocessing impossible.

Frequently asked questions
Are 200, 205, 208 and 209 litres the same thing?
In practice yes. The standard steel drum holds around 208 litres; depending on the manufacturer and product it is filled and invoiced as 205, 208 or 209 litres. Everyone calls it a 200 litre drum. So when comparing prices, look at the price per litre rather than the price per drum.
How is it delivered and what do I need to prepare?
On a pallet by freight, kerbside. The forwarder agrees the slot with you by phone, so please give a number you can be reached on during the day. You will need a ramp or a pallet truck to unload; if you have neither, tell us beforehand so we can arrange a tail lift.
What does shipping a drum cost?
Within Germany we deliver free from 59 EUR, drums included. The amount that applies to your order is shown in the basket. For deliveries abroad and for several drums, please request a quote.
Is a full oil drum a dangerous good?
No. Fresh engine and gear oil is not a dangerous good under transport regulations, because its flash point is well above 60 °C. Section 14 of the safety data sheets therefore carries neither a UN number nor a class. That does not apply to used oil.
What happens to the empty drum?
It becomes your property and we charge no deposit. Empty steel drums are one-way containers and belong in your commercial waste stream. The used oil itself is covered by our take-back duty under section 8 of the Used Oil Ordinance.
