Engine oil in 60 litre drums
The middle size: cheaper per litre than canisters, without standing 208 litres of a single oil in the store room.
For an oil you need regularly but not daily, the 60 litre drum is usually the most economical choice. A typical setup: a workshop runs one longlife oil as its house oil in a 208 litre drum and keeps two or three approvals alongside in 60 litre drums for the other marques it services. At around 54 kg this drum is freight too, well past the parcel limit.
About 54 kg
Roughly 40 x 40 x 60 cm. Past the 31.5 kg parcel limit, so it ships on a pallet by freight.
About 12 oil changes
At typical passenger-car fill volumes of 4.5 to 6.5 litres. A month's worth, without tying up capital for half a year.

Sorted by price. Which approvals an oil carries is on its product page: in the workshop the approval decides, not the brand.
Ships by freight forwarder
Drums are freight. A 60 litre drum weighs around 54 kg and a 208 litre drum around 187 kg, both well past the 31.5 kg parcel limit, so delivery to a parcel locker or pickup point is not possible.
The forwarder calls you to agree a delivery slot. Please give a number you can be reached on during the day: without one the consignment goes out unannounced, and a pallet that finds nobody home costs a second delivery run.
Delivery is kerbside. Tell us in advance if you have neither a loading ramp nor a pallet truck, so we can arrange a tail lift. Within Germany shipping a drum costs 6.95 EUR.
Used oil and empty containers
We take back the quantity of engine and gear oil you bought from us as used oil, free of charge, including oil filters and the oil-contaminated waste that comes with an oil change. This is not a courtesy but every seller's duty under section 8 of the German Used Oil Ordinance.
As a business you will normally dispose of used oil through your licensed waste contractor. Empty steel drums are one-way containers and become your property; we charge no deposit on them. Please hand used oil over unmixed: brake fluid, coolant or solvents mixed in make reprocessing impossible.

From three drums the forwarder prices a pallet, which makes the freight per drum noticeably cheaper. Ask us for a quote.
Frequently asked questions
How is the drum delivered?
On a pallet by freight forwarder, kerbside. The forwarder calls you first to agree a slot. At this weight, delivery to a parcel locker or pickup point is not possible.
Do I need a ramp or a pallet truck?
For a single 60 litre drum usually not; two people can take it off. Once several drums arrive on a pallet, a ramp or pallet truck makes sense. Tell us beforehand if you have neither, so we can arrange a tail lift.
What does delivery cost?
Within Germany shipping a drum costs 6.95 EUR. The amount that applies to your order is shown in the basket before you pay. Deliveries abroad follow the shipping cost table; for several drums, please request a quote.
How do I get the oil out?
A hand pump or a drum tap is usually enough for a 60 litre drum. Budget for that if you are moving to drums for the first time.
